We would like to thank all the businesses and community members who made generous donations and contributions, that made our Bus Safety Week such a success.     Baxter's, Sharon Sikkenga, Shirts N Stuff, Mary Start, Hair Directions, Suzi's Village Inn, Family Dollar, Mary Facchini, Fruitport Automotive Supply, Just Cuts for Men, Jo-Jo's Pizza & Subs, Whitlow's Forerunner Restaurant, Metric Motorsports LLC, Pawlowski-Korson Greenhouses, Fruitport Quick Lube, Breakaway Bicycles, IMR Supply, Leisure World, Nancy Walker, Burger Crest, Pizza Hut, Fruitport Fire Department, High School Store, Laurie Hall, Fruitport Foods, Cozy Corner, Grover Pharmacy, GNS Subway, Deb Schmalz, and Wesco.

When visiting these businesses, please thank them for their contribution to Fruitport Community Schools Transportation Bus Safety.

Also, during safety week a group of bus drivers went to all three elementary buildings to put on a school bus safety play.    Please ask your students what they learned from the play.    I'll bet they say they Marsha, Jeff, and Miss Smarty Pants taught them how to sit on their pockets, use inside voices, and keep their hands to themselves.    Thank you to Sharon Sikkenga, Cheryl Buter, Shirley DeYoung, Nancy Walker, and Chelly Brown for putting this play together and informing our students about school bus safety.

Students have also been asked to help us name our safety bus.    Stay tuned to find out the name..........

Our bus has a name.....it is G.U.S the Safety Bus.  G.U.S. stands for Give Us Safety.    Mickey Hancock a 2nd grade student from Edgewood Elementary named the safety bus.    Congratulations to Mickey.
