If you drive by the Middle School, you will notice many changes taking place. Thanks to the generous support of the Fruitport community, we are getting a substantial makeover. From a new roof to new lockers, crews are working hard to make our forty plus year old building an attractive place for our students. We are hopeful that everything will be completed and in place when students and staff return in September. Another change this year is that we will host a formal Open House on September 14th instead of the traditional meet and greet night before school starts. This will allow us time to make sure classrooms are ready and schedule and locker changes are completed before you meet with your child's team. So please plan on attending from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. the second week of school. This will be a great opportunity to meet with teachers and learn about all of the great activities they have planned for your students. I hope that everyone received a summer reading list our English teachers prepared to help keep students reading over the summer.
